AUDITION NOTICE for LAURA

Director Michael Hill will hold auditions for the murder mystery, LAURA, on Monday, November 21, and Tuesday, November 22, at 7 p.m. each night at the Zodiac Theatre on Court and Hermitage Streets downtown Florence. The audition will consist of cold readings of the script. There are roles for 2 females and 4 males between the ages of 25-60. Show dates are April 5-12, 2012.


AUDITION NOTICE

Auditions for the Gingerbread Players production of the award-winning musical ¡°Children¡¯s Letters to God¡± will be on Saturday, December 10 and Sunday, December 11 at 2 PM each day at the Shoals Theatre on Seminary Street in Florence, AL. Michael Green is directing this musical based on the best-selling novel about life and growing up. Sally O¡¯Bannon is musical director.

Principal roles are available for 3 boys and 2 girls, ages 9-16 and up to 5 supporting roles are available for boys or girls ages 9-16. Those wishing to audition should be prepared to sing approximately 90 seconds of a song of their choice. Those auditioning must provide a CD or an accompanist, a CD player and keyboard will be provided.

Rehearsals will begin January 7, 2012 and production dates are March 1-4, 2012 at the Shoals Theatre in Florence. For more information please email GBletterstogod@aol.com.



AUDITION NOTICE

Auditions for the Zodiac Players production of THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE will be held on Monday, June 27th and Tuesday, June 28th at 7 PM each night at the Zodiac Theatre on Hermitage Drive in Florence. Michael Green is directing this Tony award-winning musical about a group of misfit kids struggling with winning and growing up. Louise McCoy is musical director and Sally O¡¯Bannon is assistant musical director.

All roles are played by adults. Roles are available for 3 males and 3 females, age 18+, who portray the 12 year old kids participating in the spelling bee and 2 males and 1 female, age 18+, who portray the adults at the spelling bee. A good singing voice and comic timing are a must. One adult male role is a non-singing role. The director is looking for a multi-racial cast and all races and ethnicities and encouraged to audition. Those auditioning should bring a song of their choice that shows their vocal strength and stage presence. A CD player and keyboard will be provided, but those auditioning must bring their own accompanist. There will also be a cold reading from the script. This musical contains adult language and subject matter.

Audition Notice
Come one, come all to the great auditions for players to be in the production of the Sam Bobrick stageplay, ¡°Hamlet II: Better than the Original,¡± which will be presented by the Zodiac Players at the Shoals Community Theatre on May 12-15, 2011.

The play is a zany comedy based on the Bard¡¯s own Hamlet (short version!) but with a much happier ending.

There are parts for both males and females among the 13 speaking characters ranging in age from teens to sixties as well as about 5-10 non-speaking courtiers.

Auditions will be held at the Shoals Theater in Florence on March 6th at 2pm and March 7th at 6pm and will consist of cold readings from the script.

NEWCOMERS ARE WELCOME AND ARE ENCOURAGED TO AUDITION.

Audition information for Aladdin Jr.
Those auditioning should be prepared to sing "A Whole New World" from Disney's "Aladdin", learn a short piece of choreography and do cold reading from the script. Dress comfortably and wear shoes that you can easily move in.
There are 10-12 main roles available for males and females ages 10 and older. There are multiple ensemble roles
available for ALL ages.
